Bengals 2011 Draft Preview: Defensive Line

The Bengals always need help on the Defensive Line. Currently the Bengals have some good young players in Carlos Dunlap and Michael Johnson.on the DE and Geno Atkins on the DT. Besides for those three players I don't see anyone else on the roster that should be a starter.

Defensive End:
Robert Geathers, should not even be on the practice squad, that's how much he has been sucking for the past couple of year. And as far as Antwan Odom goes, I don't know if that guy will ever be healthy again. I always had an admiration for Jonathan Fanene, but he never seems to be able finish a full season because of injury. Frostee Rucker is not good enough to be a starter, maybe a backup. So will start opposite of Carlos Dunlap? Maybe Odom, Fanene or Rucker. So that means the Bengals will probably will take a DE somewhere in the draft.
Top DE in the 2011 NFL Draft:
Robert Quinn, DE/OLB, North Carolina
Aldon Smith, DE/OLB, Missouri
J.J. Watt, DE/DT, Wisconsin
Cameron Jordan, DE/DT, California
Da'Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson
Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa

Defensive Tackles:
Currently the Bengals have one decent player in the Defensive Tackle position, and that is Geno Atkins. He was about the only one that got any kind of pressure on the QB last season. As far as Tank Johnson, Peko, and Pat Sims  goes, they are all very average players. The Bengals desperately need an interior pass rusher, and I hope they use their first pick on a DT.
Top DT in the 2011 NFL Draft:
Marcell Dareus, DE/DT/NT, Alabama
Nick Fairley, DE/DT, Auburn
Phil Taylor, NT, Baylor
Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina
Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois
Jurrell Casey, DT, USC
Drake Nevis, DT, LSU
