Preview 2011 Cincinnati Reds

It was a good feel good year last year, now it's time for the real deal. Not only I expect the Reds to win the Central Division again, I expect them to go far in the playoffs.
Yea sure we might not have dominatnt pitching rotation like the Phillies or the Giants but I don't think the pitching will slow them down this year.

There was a reason the Phillies owned the Reds in the playoffs last year, it was because they had a better pitching rotation. That means Mike Leake and Travis Wood has to step it up on the mount.

But the bigger question will be what about the Cuban missile Aroldis Chapman? Will he be a starter, a set up man or a closer? And if Homer Bailey can't get his shit together this year, it's time to depart from that dream. I'm tired of living on potential. And hope Lance Mcalister is ready to give up on his boy wonder.

I'm looking for a big year from Jay Bruce. In his final 37 games last year he had a  .377/.459/.798 and homered 15 times and if he can continue that scorching pace he will be the NL MVP. And I am also for bigger and better things from Joey Votto.

Will Paul Janish keep his postion at SS or will Edgar Renteria eventually take over?
Who will be the day to day lead offman? Will it be Drue Stubbs or someone else?

Anyway I'm stocked about the upcoming Reds season, it's fun to have the bulls-eye on the back.
