Bengals 2011 Draft Preview: Offensive Tackles

2010 was not such a good year for the O-line. Yea, Andrew Whitworth had a solid year only giving up 2 sacks. But the passing game struggled and the running game struggled.

Nate Livings and Dennis Roland has to go, both are restricted free agents . They are just not very good and have not improved.

I'm wondering if the over weight, often injured Andre Smith will ever turn into a productive NFL player.

Marvin Lewis has made it clear that the offensive line needs to be improved if the Bengals are going to compete in 2011. I have a hard time seeing the Bengals taking a tackle with the No. 4 pick, unless they trade down. Which I hope they do, but probably won't happen.

Like previous drafts, the Bengals are more likely to wait and address this need in the second or third round.
There are plenty of offensive tackles than can be picked up in the later rounds.
